Susanna from Barcombe Romneys will be selling her Mutton Sausages with bread rolls from Newick Bakery.  This small Barcombe flock is reared as gently and sustainably as possible.  Lambs are born outdoors in spring, the flock are pasture fed all year round, breeding rams and ewes are sold direct to local farms and meat animals are not taken to the abattoir until they are over 1-2 years old rather than as lamb.  Susanna uses Turners Butchers in Ringmer and sells her 10 day dry aged hogget and mutton direct to local customers.  You will have seen her on the roundabout in the village some days.  You can fidndout more from Susanna when you buy a Moroccan or Mint sausage on Saturday at the Eco Fair.
